Angelica, 19, graduated from high school in 2007. Brandon Iron, 41, just can't believe it. In hushed tones, he asks the sullen, lush Angelica how she got from there to here. "Ummm. Rideshare," she says.

There is just enough context clinging to the post-pubescent skeleton of this series to really mean something, porn-wise, and this edition looks inward, with Iron doing all the interviewing, most of the talking, and all the fucking of these comparative youngsters. There's several scenes of Tanner Mayes, Iron's muse/trainwreck, as well as an appearance by the delightful Jules Sterling, who swallows her first load (if she's lying, she fooled me) like a champ.

Whereas previous installments featured different guys, this one is scaled down to just Iron and a partner. This was probably a financial decision, but it brings out a little bit of the pervy creepiness that is so goddamned fulfilling when people like Iron come right out and say it.

"She Is Half My Age" is one of my favorite series because it makes clear either the outright joy or the nagging self doubt - sometimes both - of knowing the person you are paying for sex looks at your Whitesnake collection half as ironically as you do.

In this eighth installment, however (filmed primarily in the Czech Republic), we are mostly left to assume the women are half the age of the men - like in most porn movies - instead of having the age difference demonstrated in charming/harrowing skits such as the ones that charactereized earlier iterations. This could be due to a language barrier.

But Steve Holmes makes up for this. Holmes, a veteran porn dude from Europe, is a whimsical satyr. He takes such pleasure in his work that we can even forgive him when he's lazy (Director Iron and Holmes are looking at a porn modeling agency's website and Iron accuses Holmes of "ordering women like they're pizza").

And the women, too, are great fun, especially Rossi, Natalli D'Angelo, and the pixieish Angelin Crow.

Because this installment of "She Is Half My Age" was filmed in Europe, we lose the significance of the title. Everyone seems so much more blase about the age difference. It is merely a good vignette porn movie without the context, save for that provided by the fact that the cast is in Prague and not in some sun-blighted Chatsworth warehouse.

But what really sells this episode is the fun most of the cast seems to be having, no matter how old they are.

Great Moments In Porn: Snake Vs. Snake

There are many things wrong with this setup from a long-forgotten porn compilation called "Pussy Beat 2" (the proudly Canadian Brandon Iron welcoming a still-brunette Anita Dark to America while wearing a Canada t-shirt being one of them), but we do give them a lot of credit for not making the obvious "trouser snake" joke. OK, they do make that joke, but not in the completely obvious way. The girls meet a couple of fellows and, to their credit, neither gasp in horror or run from the room. Don't get us wrong; old isn't bad. But we know how the Fleshbot West interns respond with eyerolls and gumsmacks when we ask them to "dial" a phone number for us.

The joy we felt about this new series has been dampened somewhat by the presence of people who aren't double the age of the talent in some scenes, but, in the case of Jake Malone and Neomi Rose (he teaches her how her hair can be used as a handle), we almost have a "She Is A Third of My Age" pairing. God bless them both.

So here's where we got suspicious. The delightful Hollie Stevens is one of our favorite 26-year-olds. That would mean some of those backwards baseball cap-wearing gangbang guys would have to be 52. I didn't buy it. That some of them appeared to be twice the age of newcomer Nika doesn't count. You have to be twice the age of the oldest naked girl in the room.
