As with their previous pornstar featurette, "Women of Erotica" did a good job of depicting its subjects as ordinary women doing out-of-the-ordinary work; aside from a brief discussion of Skye Blue's history of abusive relationships and drug use, there was none of the stereotypical "damaged pornstar" rhetoric. The four women were depicted as healthy, happy—and perfectly capable of carrying on a (relatively) normal relationship.

Though each of the four stories followed the same general arc, each woman was given her own particular slant/focus. We've pulled one clip from each story to give you a taste of what you may have missed (and whet your appetite for the many, many reruns.)

Skye Blue: The lone director in the mix, Skye's story focused on her directing style—and how her hands-on focus makes for a different experience for both performers and consumers. At left, Skye on set.

Shy Love: Performer/agent Shy Love splits her time between set and the office; her segment devoted equal time to her on and off camera work (with a little bit of a detour for a trip home to meet her boyfriend). At left, Shy interviewing a prospective client.

Gianna Lynn: This segment was easily the most personal. Beyond the hook of "Gianna Lynn, pornstar/college student," Gianna's story was mostly a look at how her work effects her personal life: family, friends, and—of course—boyfriend. At left, Gianna on deciding to be a girl-girl only performer.

Kenzie Marie: Last but certainly not least, we have Kenzie Marie, the rising star. Kenzie's story focuses on her decision to sign a contract with Porn.com (a contract which seems to have fallen through in the mean time). Wild and crazy Kenzie learns the ins and outs of the industry, gets her lips collagened, and, of course, learns the art of pole dancing (left).

Shy Love, Skye Blue, Gianna Lynn, and Kenzi Marie make up the cast of this episode of "Secret Lives." Back in the 70's, the idea of wife swapping reached public acceptance with the introduction of "key parties"—a cultural phenomenon that played to the strengths of free love and uninhibited group sex. The idea was simple: as couples filed into the party, the men would drop their car keys into a fish bowl. Wives would then blindly draw out a set and partner up with whomever they belonged to. Famed sex author and Fleshbot friend Tristan Taormino asserts in "Opening Up," her new book on polyamory, that this concept was allegedly spawned amongst married Navy personal in San Diego.

Since then, the climate of America has been radically transformed—ironically, by many of the same people. The former agents of free love have given in to a moral panic that's usurped sexual exploration, transforming it into a benignly flavorless stew harnessing the energy more for reproduction than recreation.

Which is why the latest release from Pink Visual, "Wife Swap Volume 6" is so refreshing. At no point during the action do we get the sense that there's anything out of the ordinary in the behavior of these loving, sexually liberated couples. In fact, Evie Delatosso, Kelly Kline, Mario Rossi, Richard Kline, Jack Lawrence, Puma Swede, Shy Love, Steven St.Croix, Emilianna, Joe Rock, Kayla Paige, Will Powers, Barry Scott, Dick Delaware, Lacey Love, Lindsay Love, Burke, Jack Vegas, Tina Tink, and Veronica Rayne couldn't be happier to be swinging back and forth with each other.

We could all learn a lot from these post Nietzschean darlings about living more human than human. But for now, just kick back as a casual observer and enjoy this fine set of promotional pictures provided by Pink Visual.

Shot in High Definition, for whatever reason, this somewhat garbled tale of virtual reality gone awry is less Steven Spielberg and more Diablo Cody: it trades expensive special effects and CGI trickery for some surprising plot twists and imaginative, character revealing dialogue. And if plot twists and imaginative dialogue aren't the reasons why you watch porn ... well, there's some pretty hot sex with a cast including Cody Milo, Jenna Presley, Jenaveve Jolie, Tiffany Taylor, Sophia, and Shy Love too. Who says pinching pennies always has to hurt?

Not the Wayland Flowers biopic I'd been expecting but still of great use, "Memoirs of A Madame" explores the complicated power structure of the modern-day brothel and the bittersweet choices we make in passing on the torch of responsibility.

"I don't want to fuck fat old guys anymore," says Trixe, "I want to fuck rich fat old guys."

Since watching "The Mission" on HBO the other night, I have been fascinated with hookers and their hierarchies.

Granted, "The Mission" was about a Jesuit order in 18th century Paraguay, but the missionary followers of Ignatius Loyola share a great deal with Madame Shy, operator of a high class escort agency who just wants to get out, and Trixe, a two-dollar whore fixin' on replacing her.

What they share is Difficult Choices.

Sinsation Pictures releases artfully-shot couples' films with scripts and performers who are attractive in a way particular to hardcore couples' films rather than softcore couples' films. I came to this conclusion after seeing two people in a late-nite Cinemax movie who I'd just seen in a one-act play in Los Angeles. Does that mean that hardcore performers can't act? No, it just means that I wouldn't believe Shy Love as Nora in "The Plough And the Stars".

Anyway, the movie begins with Trixe (Meadows) in two scenes of play-acting. First she works out with her john in a seedy motel room. A slap-bass soundtrack reminiscent of a Stephen J. Cannell montage sequence plays over their dialogue, full of dirty porn-standard patter that somehow sounds like taunting:

"You like me Baby?"

"Yeah I like you. Am I the biggest you ever had?"

"Yeah Baby, you're the biggest. Am I warm and wet enough for you?"

"Yeah Baby."

Through my own exhaustive research with cheap hookers, I have found that none were as slight as Trixe, and not a single one wore fishnets. After the deed is done, Trixe looks in the mirror and practices curbside pickup lines, finishing with:

"Hey, how about you pay me a lot of money to fuck you in your mother's car and pretend you're not a loser?"

The scene switches to Madame Shy, embodying both Mr. Rourke and most of the characters Danny Glover has played: she's in a white suit and she feels like she's getting too old for this. She is looking for a replacement as a Madame.

In a tribute to softcore "bordello" movies, Shy's manner is imperious and her words are clipped. "Leave us!" she snaps to her attendants as a favored customer enters. I don't know, I have a feeling that the adult industry plays at prostitution in the way that performers of Asian extraction play at being schoolgirls. I'm sure Heidi Fleiss never said "Leave us!"

Introduced to Madame Shy, Trixe rises fast in the organization. But the other girls are jealous about being passed over by a newcomer. This also happened to Chief Justice John Roberts. Trixe breaks their spirit and builds them back up in her image by getting fucked with a strap-on.

Technical aspects of Sinsation Pictures' products are still not first rate. The soundtrack is of the type that can be purchased along with certain editing programs, and at one point it is sped up ridiculously fast to accommodate the ending of one scene and the beginning of another. And we still hear the echos common to a movie set poorly insulated from the warehouse around it.

But they are trying hard, and directors Love and Dee lend their own performing experience to staging excellent sex scenes. And the movie ends better than "The Mission" does.

Right off the bat, there are worse struggles than the following: How does one give proper respect to a legitimate fantasy and the people who partake of it while simultaneously smirking like our 43rd President? It's difficult, but possible. "Pantyhose Whores", from Pink Kitty Video, is actually quite similar to Monday's "Cum on My Panties" except this one pays off what it advertised. Rita Faltoyano, Shy Love, and especially the talented Katja Kassin (who brings her partner off with her feet) allow for certain holes in the 'hosen so that a quartet of fellows can close the deal.

We thought of titling this post "Nothing beats (off) a great pair of Leggs" but that would mean we're over 30. - GP

Sinsation's "My Space" might, at first blush (even though the cover is black and white), seem like another 18-months-too-late pornish co-opting of popular culture. But even as the separation of the words avoids a legal battle, sort of, it draws attention to the content of the movie, which is all-female masturbation. Imagine playing this movie with the sound off at your next fete, soiree, or wingding; a crowd of people watching the likes of Shy Love (pictured), Avy Lee Roth, Felix Vicious, Kimberly Kane or Mika Tan masturbating with a movie title reminiscent of that most masturbatory of websites? Well, that's so meta your head would explode. Once again, you would successfully divert guests' attention from your awful, awful dip. - GP

It is a measure of a certain type of star quality when a porn model looks good during a POV scene: what with the awkward first-person camera angles and often unflattering overhead lighting, anyone who still manages to be attractive while simultaneously playing to the camera and pretending that the penis she's shoving down her throat does in reality belong to you, the penis-bearing viewer, deserves all our props and respect. So while all the performers in Digital Playground's "Jack's POV #6" have a certain knack in this regard, we needs must commend Fleshbot Crush Object&trade Shay Jordan for imbuing her performance with flair, grace, and—dare we say?—dignity, which is no mean feat when the guy you're fucking happens to have a large professional-grade digicam staring at you over his shoulder. Seriously—try it sometime and see.
