If you've been paying attention to our altporn coverage around here lately—or indeed, any developments in the Left Coast modeling, fetish, fashion and art scenes over the past few years—you probably don't need an introduction to the sexy and multitalented Melodie Gore, whose star turn contributes to our collective downfall in Vivid Alt's new "Man's Ruin". But for those slackers among us—including a few of us here at Fleshbot who somehow missed her appearances on sites like God's Girls, RazorDolls, and Burning Angel—Melodie is a revelation: not only is her modeling portfolio packed with her "character fiction" collaborations with dozens of prominent photographers, makeup artists, and stylists, she's also an accomplished visual artist and costume designer in her own right. (And did we mention that her performance in "Man's Ruin" is positively smokin'?) If that doesn't fit the perfect definition of a renaissance babe for the new millenium, we don't know what does.

"Some say the shy ones, the quiet types, the ones we call 'loners' and 'introverts' often keep a deep, dark secret. Curious?" We sure are, especially when those words accompany the press materials for a new Vivid Alt release ... and even more especially when the cast list includes the names of some of our favorite crush objects including Justine Joli, Celeste Star, Satine Phoenix, RoxyDeVille, and Mia and Ava Rose. But it's newcomer Melodie Gore whose character arc is most fully explored in "Rebelle Rousers" director Octavio "Winkytiki" Arizala's second hardcore opus, in which Melodie plays a punk rock chick who fights her way through all sorts of dirty adventures as part of a "mysterious corporate mission" ...

"The philosophy behind it is that all of mankind is basically made in God's image," says Vivid Alt scion Eon McKai, no doubt while stroking his beard and leaning his tweedy elbow against a mantlepiece strewn with fine leather-bound volumes. "And there are all of these other elements that come into to play that try to set him off of his path and destroy him ... that's the 'man's ruin' concept." So now you know where the title comes from. But all we needed to do was look at Melodie and her pals in and out of the costumes she designed for the production to know that we'd follow them to hell and back in a second ... no matter what effect it had on our spiritual well-being.
