Hanna Hilton, aka Hannah Hilton, emerged as a Penthouse Pet and babelog star back in 2006; then made the transition to hardcore star and Vivid Girl in spring 2008. Sadly, it seems her hardcore adventure has come to an end.

Yes, it's true: we've received word that Hanna has retired from the hardcore scene. Though she's still under contract with Vivid, she's "on leave" and may never return to porn. We'd be lying if we said we weren't saddened by the news—but at least we'll always have the memories, right?

Vivid Goes To South By Southwest

SXSW: a conference for edgy filmmakers, internerds, tons of bands you've never heard of, and... pornstars? Strange as it might seem, Vivid will be hosting a panel (and party) of their very own.

The panel—a part of the SXSW Film Festival—is called "Vivid Entertainment –The Sex-Driven Market," and will, presumably, be as much a commercial for Vivid as a deep discussion of the adult industry:

For 25 years, Vivid Entertainment has not just dominated the adult film industry, it has played a major role in shaping the evolution of home distribution from VHS and DVD to Internet and Blu-ray. CEO and founder Steve Hirsch will discuss how the video distribution landscape has developed over the years and what's in store for the changing marketplace. The discussion will also address the increased mainstreaming of adult film as well as its role as a training ground for Hollywood filmmakers and professionals.

But at least it'll be a commercial featuring Meggan Mallone and Hanna Hilton. Who are we to complain about that?

(Unless, of course, the whole thing gets derailed by a discussion of the Octomom stunt...)

Hannah Hilton Pulls The Old Switcheroo

An eagle-eyed tipster emailed us this morning to note that a finalist in something called "Stuff's Starlets" bears a striking resemblance to babelog regular and one-time Penthouse Pet Hannah Hilton. So striking that, yeah, it's pretty much her. The only problem is that the Stuff magazine version goes by the name of Erica. What is going on here?

It's no surprise that young Hannah might have flashed her "stuff" for a Girls Gone Wild camera (even if we do think she's better than that), but why the name change to appear in a junior lad mag? Does Stuff think they're somehow above featuring a Penthouse girl? (Or maybe it's vice versa?) Or is Hannah herself trying to ignore her touchy-feely past? Or maybe she hit her head and forgot her own identity? Whatever the reason, we wish all this name flip-flopping would stop. We have enough trouble keeping track of these chicks as it is.
