People seem to be genuinely excited about the return of American Gladiators, because watching obnoxious weekend warriors get roughed up by obscenely large muscle freaks is always quality entertainment. Plus, if this writer's strike holds up it will be the only original show on television in '08. Then again some folks just like hard bodies, which is how you end up with videos like this. Of course, as fit as they are we wouldn't exactly call these chicks "bodybuilders" (truth in advertising is not porn's strong suit), but they are technically in a gym, which is more than we can say for ourselves this winter. So we're not going to point our pudgy little fingers at anyone.

We were quite shocked and awed the other day when our TV told us that 1990s campfest American Gladiators was not only returning to television, but had earned a spot on NBC's primetime schedule. (Take that striking writers!) It took us back to the days of watching gals like Blaze and Zap pummel unsuspecting frat boys in flashy red, white and blue unitards. (Actually, those might have been the dudes names.)

Anyway, it's good news for folks who like pretend violence and, more importantly, hardbodied babes with rippling muscles and zero body fat. Fitness bloggers have got the scoop on who the sexy new ass kickers will be (Jaime Reed, pictured up top, is just one of them), but some other bloggers (ahem) are interested in something a little less ready for primetime. If you're in the later camp, you can dive into this huge—and we do mean huge—gallery of naked and occasionally horny bodybuilders and imagine what it would be like to be a fly on the locker room wall after a sweaty run through the Eliminator.

Some men (and some ladies, too) are afraid of big strong women, while others have no problem fooling around with a chick who could break them in half and flatten the pieces between her heavily sculpted thighs. In fact, that's the way a lot of people prefer their bodies—hard, ripped, and tight as a drum. We have a feeling Andrey Krutogolov is in that camp, because his photographs reveal a definite bias toward the muscle bound set. (And he's a pretty big boy himself.) Maybe you're not ready for all that power, but for those girly men out there who can't even open their own peanut butter jars, perhaps you should try letting women pick you up in bars instead of the other way around.

If you like watching other people sweating as much as we do, you're probably familiar with Joe Weider, who founded magazines like Muscle & Fitness and Flex and built a bodybuilding empire with nothing but a nice set of pecs and a dream. (He also foisted Arnold Schwarzenegger on a unsuspecting America, but that's another story.) If you were also once a horny teenage boy like some of us were, you might also be familiar with Joe's smoking hot wife Betty, who modeled for and helped sell his fitness regime well into her sixties. She even sold more than a few impressionable young men on the idea that older women can pretty damn sexy. (And that sometime, big muscles = hot chicks!)

We didn't know it at the time—but we probably could have guessed—that long before she met Joe, Betty was already a successful model and a bit of a fitness buff herself, back in the glory days of pinup cheesecake babes. She was Betty Brosmer back then and even though the MILF hadn't been invented yet, it's clear she was always ahead of her time. Since we've always been a sucker for ladies in leotards, this little tribute is nice reminder that hard bodies don't necessarily have to be young ones.

Back in days of yore, when premium cable was still scrambled and the internet was just a gleam in some nerd's eye, young boys and girls had to learn about growing bodies and these strange new feelings within them from the only source available to their young and impressionable minds—television exercise shows. We're not sure if this cottage industry even exists anymore, but there was a time when hardbodied individuals doing sit ups and calisthenics on the beach in revealing spandex uniforms was what passed for legitimate entertainment.

And while the idea was that you would actually do the exercises along with the instructors, the typical viewers were actually hungover college students and unemployed factory workers hoping for a nice shot of some deep knee squats. Hopefully, all of that explains our misty-eyed nostaglia for this multimedia tribute to Denise Austin, queen of the sports bra-ed wonders. Nobody stretched it out quite like her ... well, except maybe some of her more dedicated followers without access to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Whenever we're at a loss for things to post due to the fact that everyone on the interweb seems to be on vacation except us (read: this week), we can always count on those hardworking pervs at Pornzio to point us in the direction of yet another collection of highly focused niche smut—and their recent roundup of female bodybuilder porn does not disappoint. We are, however, a little confused about the inclusion of fitness model and personal trainer Billie here, who's caught doing some naked cleaning around the house—sure, her thighs look like they could snap us in two at one clench, but mops and buckets aren't exactly the sort of props we think about when we have bodybuilder porn in mind. Since our old standbys PornoTube and xTube seem to be lacking in the variety department lately (how many 11-second long blowjob videos does the world need?), we're excited about the prospect of their newest competitor, Haporn.com. It's your standard user-uploaded, share-ready smut clip supersite, with an added "VIP" component which you can either buy or earn by contributing your own movies. Although it's a little overloaded with Google text ads, what we've seen so far is encouraging and having a new player on the field should provide more options for our daily video fix. At the very least, we've found some new uses for the equipment at the gym. We still can't figure out why our workout never seems to end the way this video does, but that's a question that may never be answered.

We're still a little slack-jawed over the prospect of all those suburban soccer moms sweating their way to tighter buns via strip aerobics classes in major gym chains, but we guess that the mainstreaming of stripper moves can only be a good thing for everyone involved: more exercise for the masses and more ogling for the rest of us. While Seattle-based Pole for the Soul holds private classes, they've done us all the favor of posting photos and videos showing what exactly goes on in a room with three poles. Things might be a little awkward in those beginning and intermediate classes, but no one ever said those moves were easy ... and besides, practice makes perfect.-AR
