Lucas Entertainment announced yesterday that the dreamy Wilfried Knight would be making his pornic return in the cheekily if predictably titled "Got WILF?" ... and then announced a few hours later that the title of Wilfried's comeback vehicle had been changed to the somewhat less cheeky if more provocative "Brothers' Reunion" in order to highlight his plot relationship to costar Anthony Marks. Frankly, we wouldn't care if they decided to call it "Grandpaw Bobo's Good Time Piss Party Jamboree"; having Wilfried back on the screen is good enough for us. Lana Croft, whom last we saw in these virtual pages being mesmerized by Ange Venus and some Asian sirens, is back in a wet and wild adventure from the serene David Aaron Clark, who subtitled his latest movie "Mr. Hentai's Super-Funtime Asian Pool Party." One of my favorite movies of the last couple of years was Ernest Greene's "O: The Power of Submission", in which Carmen Luvana enters a master/slave agreement with brothers Tommy Gunn and Evan Stone. Unlike many porn movies, "O" really tried to tackle the D/S lifestyle and the feelings of doubt, jealousy, and heartbreak that bedevil any relationship. This month Greene finished shooting the sequel with a new "O," Bree Olson. And it was not lost on this reporter that Olson starts with O.

Adam & Eve's biggest movie of 2008 is "Rollerdollz," a roller derby movie gone right. A co-production with Zero Tolerance and directed by James Avalon, "Rollerdollz" wrapped filming early this morning at a 60-year-old rink at the east end of Porn Valley as Ava Rose, Bree Olson, Eva Angelina, and Sunny Lane skated across the parquet to crash into each other in a sweaty, girly mass.

The story is as American as "The Grapes of Wrath": two roller rivals settle their differences in each others' vaginas and somehow Ron Jeremy is involved. What's more, Kayden Kross adds that special element to luchador surf-guitar music.

L.A.'s Fearleaders cheer on a cast of non-nude but just as compelling extras, including members of a real-life L.A. women's roller derby league.

Penny Flame adjusts her blades, Eva Angelina dazzles the camera, and Sunny Lane ponders a return to her former career of figure skating as Alektra Blue surveys the scene. Sunny and Alektra are the cast's most accomplished skaters.

Don't ask what Ava Rose used to polish the floor; just be happy for me.

Bree Olson needlessly adjusts something (don't adjust a goddamn thing) while the referee explains a call to Sunny Lane.

A member of Glendale's Moonlite Rollerway staff told me that the rink's Over 50 club would be skating right over this spot the next day. If they had only seen Bree et al this way, doubtless they would not conclude that youth is wasted on the wrong people.

No Love Lost: Photographs By Michael Grieve

It's hard to take a picture on a porn set or backstage at a strip club and not have it look like a lot of work we've seen before, particularly when so many artists and photographers have been mining this same territory for years now. That said, UK photographer Michael Grieves attempts to depict these "increasingly entwined and performative worlds of pornography, prostitution and stripping" via his own unique perspective: "'No Love Lost' does not attempt to be a statistical documentation but works as a lyrical documentary metaphor in a factual world about real fictional encounters and conveys a sense of the difficulties of meaningful human connection in spiritually vacant environments." OK, so maybe calling the adult entertainment world "spiritually vacant" isn't exactly a unique concept, but several of his photos do manage to convey a certain tenderness for their subject matter despite their ostensible detachment. (And at the very least we learned that there exists what seems to be a thriving porn industry in Peterborough, UK. Who knew?)

At its most basic level, Porn Imitates Life. How else can you explain the nearly 1:1 ratio of dirt pipe milkshakes taking place on our streets to those that appear on adult store shelves? For Sinsation Pictures' voyeur assemblage "Look Who's Watching", it is telling that the Viewed all use Macs and the Pervs all use PCs.

The avuncular Wesley Emerson, who chose his porn name from that of his east coast alma mater ("They won't screen my movies in their alumni festivals," he groused), directed this movie for newish porn company Sinsation Pictures. So you can imagine our surprise when we received a press release over the weekend informing us that twink sensation Caleb Carter recently made his first appearance in a straight porn movie ... and our subsequent relief when we found out that the movie in question was indeed a new (and thoroughly gay) version of Shane's World's popular "Campus Invasion" series, in which Caleb finds himself as the prize booty for a bunch of frat dudes competing to see who gets to fuck him first: "The shoot took place in Portland Oregon and I had an absolute BLAST! This week's "Insertz" shoot took place in a house high above Porn Valley. Not since "Secretary" or "An Inconvenient Truth" has a movie been more ripe for pornish adaptation. Playing Miss Cake (a role originated by "Suspiria"'s Jessica Harper!!!) is Nicole Sheridan.

Dreyfuss' character, known in the original as "Wonder Boy" is played by Sheridan's real-life partner, Voodoo. Here, of course, he is known as "The Boy Wonder".

"I haven't had sex in a while," said Mika Tan while donning her metal headdress. "I hope I'm not rusty."

Had we not squandered all our savings on making sure we had a limitless supply of phat tacos here at Fleshbot Central, we might have been able to afford adding Showtime to our basic cable lineup this month and therefore would have been able to catch the premiere episode last week of "Debbie Does Dallas ... Again", World Of Wonder's new seven part documentareality show about Vivid's latest remake of the 1978 porn classic (which has already spawned nearly two dozen sequels and ~~rip~~spinoffs, but that's perhaps the subject for another post). This week I traveled to movies being shot by veteran performer Lynn LeMay and director-for-all-seasons Andre Madness. "SFV Porn" by Vera Hartmann

Looking behind the scenes of a porn shoot is sort of like being told how a magic trick works—it tends to take some of the fun out of it. Then again, curiosity gets the best of all us, and sometimes you just have to peek behind the curtain and see what's up. Photographer Vera Hartmann did just that to create this photo series, taken on the sets of a few productions in the San Fernando Valley. The shots are more artistic than revelatory (after all, it's not the first time someone's gone on a porn set to record how things go, er, down) but she has created some rather striking images of adult entertainers with their guard down. Granted, it's no Porn Valley Dispatch, but we can't all be masters of the art form like Mr. Ponante. Besides, why should he get to have all the fun?
