If you're like me, you think all Japanese women are about 19 years old and perpetually attending some mountain boarding school. That is why "Japanese Cougars Gone Wild" was a voyage of discovery for me.

The other day I thought, "I'd really like to see West of Ireland Gaelic-speaking Tinker's Daughter porn." And I believe someday I will. But for now I am fascinated - and a little taken aback for being fascinated - by a porn depiction of Asian women that is so different from the standard reed-thin and submissive representatives we're used to.

The conceit of this vignette movie is that there is a delivery service for older women who like younger men and for men who like older women (the movie includes excellent subtitles) and, while the women do not completely transcend the simpering Asian stereotype - in fact, to say they've "Gone Wild" is an exaggeration - they at least take the lead now and then.

Risako (who looks a little like Ashley Blue) opens the movie by calling for a young man to service her. No champagne glass breasts for Risako, she is full-figured and hippy. The rest of the scenes are a little more standard-issue, with the men making the escort calls, and all the women looking eerily reminiscent of Dame Shirley Bassey. Maybe it's the outfits.

One interesting thing about the latter scenes was how comfortable and descriptive the men were in ordering women who looked like "Mom."

By Rich McLean: Not all erotic manga is created equally. Sometimes the focus is on taboo feelings, like we saw last week with Taro Shinonome's "Swing Out Sisters". Other times the focus is on straight-up eroticism, like with this week's title, "The Spirit of Capitalism". So let's get right into the weird and wild world of office ladies whose sole purpose is to pleasure their professional colleagues, shall we? It might take place in a business environment, but I don't see how these people manage to do any work ...

This title comes to us from Tuna Empire, whose other titles (including "Family Circumstances", "Capture Guide for the First Date", and "Viva Freedom!". among others) feature slightly more realistic depiction of male organs and how much semen they produce than some of the other erotic manga we've seen. (Of course, the tradeoff is that we're subjected to more perverse and specialty categories of porn, but that's hentai for you.)

"The Spirit of Capitalism" follows Sayuri as she begins her new office lady job. "Office ladies" are a common sight in many Japanese companies; usually they perform support tasks for other employees like making copies and delivering mail. The twist here is that (surprise!) Sayuri's main job is to service the male employees of the company.

So a major focus of the scenes in this manga is gangbangs and forced humiliation, which Sayuri and her fellow office ladies seem more than happy to participate in—even if it's not part of their job descriptions or if it happens to take place on their day off.

As I mentioned before, the series does go off to into some more specialty aspects: specifically, there are a couple of scenes involving watersports. But those are few and far between, so if it's not your cup of tea you can just flip the page and the action will have already moved on to something else. This title also loves to feature anal play, so that takes center stage for many of the stories as well.

And as I also mentioned, Tuna Empire's work is worth checking out to see something that is not frequently depicted in ero-manga: men with realistically sized penises who ejaculate realistically. Up until they pull out the futanari (dickgirl) chick from India. Then all bets are off.

The elder of the two, Chiyoko, is the one seducing Yuuta, They end up having sex at just about every opportunity, and it doesn't matter what the risk is – their passion is too great. But one night, Chinatsu, the other sister, finds out about it. And from there, there's a bit of a rivalry between the sisters for who can dominate Yuuta's time and semen ... until, of course, they learn to share.

Just like some of you were with your first love, so it is Yuuta and his sisters: they all profess their strong love for each other, the bonds of which are strengthened by their devious passion. When you were a love-struck young adult you might have even dreamt of marrying the object of your affection, unable to comprehend what your life would be like without the other. But what an impossible path that is for Yuuta and Chiyoko and Chinatsu—in the end, they're still brother and sister(s).

Shinonome's art style captures those feelings wonderfully. Each page is full of the kind of sweat and passion that drenches a couple after they've been at it hours. Sure, the amount of semen and other assorted fluids might be a bit exaggerated—but within the context of the story, you come to accept it. And isn't hentai all about exaggeration anyway?

Since we've seen Japanese porn babes getting busy over the years with everything from cephalopods to tiny little men to ... er, more invertebrates, we're not surprised to learn that there are still things out there that we haven't seen them fetishizing (hey, it's a big world). It's hard to determine, however, exactly what it is being fetishized in this line of DVDs by Japanese production company Opera, which are sort of like your standard wet and messy fetish videos except the stuff is clear and stickier; our friends at Thighs Wide Shut decided to call it "ecto porn", and that's good enough for us.

There seems to be relatively little by way of actual sex or penetration in some of the titles, and the models aren't even always as naked as you'd expect they would be in a porn movie. All of them, however, are full of hapless maidens covered head to toe in plenty of sticky, gloopy goodness ... and we're sure all you ecto porn fans out there wouldn't want it any other way. Whoever you are.

Those crazy young folks and their cellphones—they just won't put them down for anything! Kids today can't live without the newfangled mobile technology that allows them to stay connected to their BFFs no matter where they are or what they're up to. They'd probably even "text" in the shower if those things were waterproof! (Which they might be! We don't even know because we're so old and square!) As you'll see in this clip this particular girl hangs up on no one, since her phone can perform pretty much every function one could ever need to survive. There is one burning question left unanswered though: Does she have threeway calling?

You might want to bring a scorecard to watch this video, because you could have some trouble keeping track of where everyone is. There's a lot of arms and legs and other body parts being intertwined, and we lost the plot more than once while trying to fit the puzzle pieces together in our head. If you can manage not to distract yourself with other "pressing matters," you should be able to straighten it out on your own, though. After all, we're fairly certain that it's just two couples sharing a bed and each other, but we swear we saw a few extra feet in there at one point.

In the latest issue of Bizarre, reporter Maki interviews both the head of a Japanese DVD company specializing in erotic balloon videos and the Philadelphia-based webmaster behind a network of balloon fetish websites—and while he's ultimately "content to let (his) undeveloped balloon fetish slide" (at least until the next birthday party he finds himself at), he does happen upon one insight that makes the fetish a little easier for outsiders to understand: "Essentially, the sexual appeal of balloons is much too varied to be pigeonholed." (OK, so maybe that doesn't make it easier for outsiders to understand at all. But if you have to ask ... well, maybe you should just find another fetish?)
