Pornographer Ernest Greene warns that misinformation is pernicious in times like these.

In a lengthy (read it over a long lunch, Europeans) commentary on Pro Porn Activism, Greene points out that the HIV testing protocols of the heterosexual porn industry have been sufficient to contain HIV exposure and notes that the two Patients Zero in the 2004 case (performer Darren James, who contracted the virus in Brazil) and the 42-year-old female performer diagnosed on June 4, likely didn't contract the virus within the Porn Valley testing radius.

Greene and several well-informed commenters then debate condom use (Greene's stance is that condoms can break and vaginas get especially raw when the sex lasts for three hours under hot lights, asserting that Porn Valley-level HIV testing does a job that condoms don't), state regulation (how will broke-ass California afford/enforce it? Like they enforce safe sex in bathhouses?), and the "agendas" of L.A. City and County officials as well as Porn Valley personnel with beefs against testing facility AIM, of which Greene is an emeritus board chairman.

Greene believes that testing could stand to be increased to bi-weekly rather than every 28 days, but he essentially says that the testing system ain't broke. Whether or not you agree, the conversation is an illuminating and refreshing look at the brainer side of porn blogging.

<![CDATA[Popshots Of The Week! "Perfect Secretary 2: Training Day" Edition]]> We know that secretaries are trained by attending sensible home-town junior colleges for a lot less money and heartache. Nevertheless, the liberal arts graduate in us really wants there to have been rope bondage involved.

I can't imagine director Ernest Greene doing anything that doesn't involve the fleshly transfer of power. McDonald's drive-through? "McFloggets, please." At the dry cleaners? "Extra wire hangers, please." At church? "More nails."

That is why his "Perfect Secretary 2: Training Day" (he didn't direct the original) for Adam & Eve somehow involves Justine Joli being trussed like a delightful, wriggling roast sylph by the imperious and near-translucent Claire Adams.

That is why the sturdy and yelly secretarial student Mika Tan is ground by and grinds in turn the likes of Marco Banderas and Chris Cannon, nearly ruining a suite of office furniture in the process.

That is why Kayden Kross must take dictation to the beat of harsh swats from a riding crop.

The movie will be released—as if from restraints—some time this summer. I attended the filming and, since I have memories that will last a lifetime (and because I'll get it for free), won't need to buy the movie. But you really should.

<![CDATA[Why L.A. Is Burning Up]]> This past Friday night, Adam & Eve threw a grand soiree at Boardners in Hollywood for the decadent release of Ernest Greene’s "O - The Power of Submission" sequel, "The Surrender of O." Rubber clad temptresses bobbed in between a sea of media types, comingling with other rising porn starlets and quaffing mind numbing elixirs from the theme bar.

Director Ernest Greene and his wife, Nina Hartley, set the tone in full S&M regalia—along with nearly the entire cast, who were custom swathed in alluring and color coded latex from infamous fetish designers courtesy of Syren. Next to the legendary Nina Hartley, was Bree Olson, eagerly tending to the guests every need. (And we must say, Bree did an excellent job of replacing newly retired Carmen Luvana.) Bree was joined by costars Ava Rose, Bobbi Starr, Claire Adams, Mika Tan, Evan Stone, and Tommy Gunn.

Dana DeArmond, Jenny Hendrix, Veronique Vega, Aiden Starr, Satine Phoenix, and a virtual wash of new, blonde porn stars lined up against the media wall to have their pictures taken while Master Liam, Master Aaron, Master Joseph, and other L.A. bondage scenesters came out to pay their respects to Greene, almost as if he were the Godfather or the vampire Lestat. Throughout the evening, several small spanking and bondage sessions ensued—to the delight of the swelling but oh-so-exclusive crowd.

The evening culminated with a lusciously movable feast of tits and ass being paraded onto stage for a roll call, immediately followed by the one and only Mistress Claire Adams performing a grand spanking finale (one we won’t soon forget). It comes as no surprise to us that, after such a wild evening of incendiary action, Los Angeles burned to the ground the next day. Really, we're just left with one question: does the delightful Miss Olson also play fiddle?

<![CDATA[Kink In Ink: "Taboo Illustrated"]]> An excellent digest of photorealistic fetish illustration and take-many-prisoners text, the fledgling "Taboo Illustrated" is both a millennial pulp comic and a monthly kink lifestyle primer. Published by Hustler and edited by "O: The Power of Submission" director Ernest Greene, "Taboo Illustrated" features fantasy/fetish artwork and text by Gary Roberts, Ferres, Templeton, and Greene as well as serialized graphic novels. If Betty and Veronica were pony girls, Los Bros Hernandez documented prison hookers, and the Dark Knight ran a dungeon, "Taboo Illustrated" is what it would look like.

<![CDATA[Popshots Of The Week! Pornstar Pets Edition]]> Memorial Day weekend makes us think of a summer full of dogs, and how much better they are than cats. Leaders of the Porno-American community feel the same way, and we share some of their pictures here, starting with Belladonna and Oz.

<![CDATA[Popshots Of The Week: "O2: The Surrender of O"]]> One of my favorite movies of the last couple of years was Ernest Greene's "O: The Power of Submission", in which Carmen Luvana enters a master/slave agreement with brothers Tommy Gunn and Evan Stone. Unlike many porn movies, "O" really tried to tackle the D/S lifestyle and the feelings of doubt, jealousy, and heartbreak that bedevil any relationship. This month Greene finished shooting the sequel with a new "O," Bree Olson. And it was not lost on this reporter that Olson starts with O.

Submit to some snaps after the gap, slaves.

. . .

"O"lson looks over the contract she will sign for Stone's character, Steven, reprising his role from the first movie. Greene wrote the script respecting tenets of lifestyle arrangements of power exchange relationships.

"If I get something wrong," he said, "they let me know."

Olson in her collar. "She gets the submission," Greene said. "She's perfect for this."

2008_4_3_04.jpg
Nina Hartley preparing the sealing wax in a crucible. "We bought this from a company that supplied (HBO's) 'Deadwood,'" she said. "They told us this was the only other one they've sold since then."

Guess who's posing? ("Thanks for letting me look smart," Stone, this year's AVN Male Performer of the Year, said.)

2008_4_3_06.jpg
Like my contract with Gawker Media, O's deal with Steven was consummated on a table.

"O2: The Surrender of O" is scheduled for release in September.
