Larry Flynt Fights For Our Right To Fap In Peace

You've seen "The People Vs. Larry Flynt" countless times and read every issue of Hustler cover to cover. But believe it or not, there's a lot about Larry Flynt that you just don't know—and IFC aims to school you with their tell-all documentary "Larry Flynt: The Right To Be Left Alone," which airs tomorrow night. Focusing on some of the less sexy (but still fascinating) aspects of Flynt's life, the movie offers an insider account of Flynt's freedom fighting in the name of free speech with rare footage of the infamous Supreme Court case against Jerry Falwell, Flynt’s prison sentencing for refusing to name his source in the FBI entrapment tapes of John DeLorean, and, best of all, Flynt’s gubernatorial and presidential campaigns. Check out the trailer after the jump. More »

"Barcelona Sex Project": Real People, Real Orgasms

During our time on this job, we've found that the best way to get people to talk about their sex lives is simply to ask them. (Or don't, because most of them will tell you even if you don't want to know.) But an even better way to learn about what makes folks tick sexually is to get them in front of a camera, find out what they're into ... and then maybe have them get naked and masturbate in front of you. That seems to have worked for director Erika Lust and her latest effort, "Barcelona Sex Project." Three men and three women talk about their private lives and sexual feelings and then oblige the audience with an on-camera orgasm. It's simple, it's honest, and way more interesting than any "Real World" confessional. (Watch the trailer below.) More »

"The Would-Be Madam Of Crystal": Heidi Fleiss Forever!

If you miss seeing Heidi Fleiss taking up tabloid column inches as much as we do, you won't want to miss the new HBO documentary tonight by our pals Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato of World of Wonder in which the former Hollywood Madam and current bird fancier crosses the state line to open a brothel in Nevada ... and hilarity ensues! Actually, it's not so much hilarious as an affectionate and occasionally poignant look at a woman who is still chasing her dreams: as Heidi herself says, "Heidi Fleiss is kind of synonymous with sex and money and that's the big deal, but really, I'm just your average convicted felon." "Heidi Fleiss: The Would-Be Madam Of Crystal" premieres tonight on HBO; catch some preview clips after the jump. More »

"My Big Breasts And Me": Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Boob?

Big boobs are pretty much the greatest thing ever in the history of everything, but apparently there are some people out there who believe that some boobs are just too big ... and they want to do something about it. It seems that these people are also attached to these giant boobs and think that oversized funbags cause problems, like "embarrassment" or "searing back pain," and they kind of have an issue with that. Weird, right? Well, maybe if you watch this BBC documentary about huge knockers and the women who don't love them as much as we do, it will make more sense—but we're still baffled. After all, we lovebig boobs enough to watch an entire BBC documentary about them! It's hard to find a more compelling argument than that.

great moments in masturbation

"Sticky: The Movie" Will Touch You In New Ways

While we never exactly understood why there had to be a whole month set aside to raise masturbation awareness when we spend nearly every waking moment devoted to the cause, we nonetheless welcome May's status as a worthwhile excuse to dwell on our favorite national pastime. That's why we found the trailer and teaser for upcoming masturbation documentary "Sticky: The Movie" to be so very entertaining. With a swingin' soundtrack, interviews with everyone from adult booth babes and sex toy manufacturers to controversial pro-masturbation advocate former Surgeon General Dr. Jocelyn Elders, we can't wait to see the final edit. No release date is available, but we'll be, uh, jerking around in Sticky's forums until the impending release. Enjoy Sticky's trailer and teaser after the jump. More »

"Guys And Dolls": RealDolls And The Men Who Love Them

Moviegoers had a nice chuckle (we assume) at last fall's indie buzz flick, "Lars and Real Girl," about a lonely dude whose best gal just happens to be a highly inanimate object. But the truth is sometimes stranger than fiction, because there are a lot of real-life men who find their real-life companionship with their life-size Cyberskin dream girls. This BBC documentary from last year introduces you to a few of these man-doll relationships and maybe gives you a little insight into how they come to pass. Plus, you don't have to look at Ryan Gosling's mustache during it. The whole 47-minute film is after the jump. More »

"This Film Is Not Yet Rated" (But You Can Still Watch It Anyway)

If you missed "This Film Is Not Yet Rated"—the documentary that examines how sex determines which movies are NC-17 and which ones are R—you can watch the whole thing here (for now.) Plus, this film was literally not rated, so that must mean it's pretty hot, right? More »

Lucy Pinder's "Body Hell"

Being a British glamour model might seem like an enviable career choice, what with earning £100,000 a year and all those shoots in exotic beach locations and jillions of lad mag readers drooling over every inch and pore of your cleavage. But pity poor Lucy Pinder, who according to this interview from new UK documentary series "My Body Hell" found early on in life that having a pair of 32GGs wasn't all it's cracked up to be: between "depressing" shopping trips looking for the right size bra and not being able to wear tank tops in the summer, it's a wonder that she ever got through puberty with enough self-esteem to be the successful model she is today. Fortunately, Lucy (and her mum) tell us that she's made peace with her ginormous rack, and that she wouldn't want things any other way. We guess that makes at least two of us. More »

Meet "The Indian Playboy"

Richard Manon bills himself as a self-made entrepreneur who gave up a cushy corporate finance job to become the first American of Indian decent to direct his own porn movies, a claim that is so unverifiable that it has to be true. We can't seem to figure out what the titles of any those movies might be, but we do know that he's turned his porn endeavors into an interesting little vanity project called "The Indian Playboy," a pseudo-documentary about his life and career that (judging by the trailer below) brings new meaning to the phrase "independent film." We don't know a lot of playboys who have a wife and a roommate, but we confess that the idea has us intrigued, mostly because we want to know how you shoot a 65-minute film about the making of a porn movie that doesn't contain any actual nudity or sex. It does contain Charlotte Stokely in a bikini, however, which at the very least deserves a Golden Globe nomination. More »

"Eloquent Nude": Edward Weston and Charis Wilson

Edward Weston was a pioneer in the field of photography, starting as a young boy after the turn of the 20th century and eventually growing to work alongside such luminaries as Ansel Adams and Dorothea Lange. But since this is Fleshbot, you know we're more interested in his considerable body of stunning art nudes than his landscapes and still lifes. One nude in particular was his assistant, model and eventually third wife Charis Wilson, who he met when he was 48 and she was 19; they lived and worked together for over a decade while creating hundreds of classic portraits and cementing his legacy as one the greats in his field. Now 91, Charis shared her story with documentary filmmakers who have chronicled this partnership in a loving tribute to the man and his work. Their website tells their story through the making of the film, with behind the scenes and preview clips—and starting tomorrow, you can even catch the whole thing limited release (if you live in Portland, Oregon, that is.) Anyone interested in classic photography and the nude as an art form should check out this fascinating look at a master at work—and give thanks to the woman who made so much of it possible. More »

Betelnut Beauties: Not-Quite-Sex Work In Taiwan

South African-born film producer and photographer Tobie Openshaw's fascinating "Betelnut Beauties" project explores the curious (and curiously sexy) world of Taiwan's betelnut girls (Bin Lang Xi Hsi), paid models who fall somewhere between race queens and pink box workers in the list of reasons why life in parts of Asia is so much more interesting than it is in the West: "They sit in brightly-decorated glass booths wearing skimpy outfits, and sell cigarettes, drinks and betelnut to passing drivers. It's a controversial trade but not actually illegal. The question of whether the girls are exploited is open to debate—certainly their own perception is mostly that they are doing a job like any other, and the less they choose to wear, the more they sell." "Russ Meyer: King Of Sexploitation" on YouTube

Since it's now the future (or something), we're in an optimistic mood this week and are looking forward to even more of our favorite bits of pop culture ephemera making their way to places like YouTube in 2007—especially where boobs are concerned. And things are off to a great start with news that this UK documentary on legendary breast impresario Russ Meyer is now viewable online: "Russ Meyer: King Of Sexploitation" includes interviews with several of Meyer's most legendary stars as well as such eminent mammarian authorities like streaptease queen Dita Von Teese—along with fascinating tidbits like the fact that Meyer shot four days of film for the Sex Pistols (who were apparently huge fans of Meyer's classic "Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls") before the project went "belly up" (or should that be "tits up"?). There's also the requisite speculation on the reasons behind Meyer's boob fixation, though we have to admit that we're much less interested in those issues than we are in the movies they made possible. Truly a worthy homage to the man and his art. And, of course, those boobs. - AR/JD More »

"WebCam Girls": The Movie

They might seem a little quaint in the age of YouTube et al., but there was a time not too long ago when webcams were (and for many people, still are) the last word in sexy interactivity—and as we all know, any media featuring girls who appear nude even for only for a few moments every day gets tagged with the "porn" label. Documentary filmmaker Aerlyn Weissman examines the relationship between "real life" and smut in her new film "WebCam Girls", which features interviews (and plenty of screenshots) with such superstars of the genre as art/life cammer Ana Voog, sex educator and fetish model Ducky Doolittle, cultural critic-turned-camgirl Terri Senft, and cam studio pioneer Dionne Loewen. You can download the full movie for a small fee, or just check out the trailer and then head over to YouTube for more than seventeen minutes of Ducky talking about her career as interweb crush object. Almost makes us want to fire up our old copy of IRC and see if we can talk some cutie into flashing us her boobies for a moment or two. Those were the days ... More »

The Dildo Diaries

No offense to our fine readers in Texas, but your state is insane. If you need proof, look no further than the state legislature's hilarious (and kinda sad) attempts to ban all manner of sexual adventure, as chronicled in the documentary "Dildo Diaries." The film dates back to 2002 (somehow we missed it at our local 18-screen cineplex), but the sex toy and sodomy laws that it address are still an issue in court rooms and sex shops as we speak. After the jump, learn why Texans can buy "educational models," but not dildos; the difference between a "personal massager" and a vibrator; and why you can stick anything in your butt as long as it isn't a penis. And you thought Tom DeLay was crazy? You have no idea. More »
