The Semi-Retirement: When some girls quit the business, they just quit one part of it. Take Lexi Bardot, for instance, who may have left Porn Valley but who still creates online content. Wich is something we're extremely grateful for.

The (Very) Brief Exit: We were heartbroken when Belladonna announced that she was going to be retiring from the hardcore life due to an STD scare Thankfully, we weren't heartbroken for very long: less than a month after that announcement, she was back in the saddle again, which is exactly where we like to see her.

The Very Public Exit: Who could ever forget Jenna Jameson? And who could forget her announcing, in the thick of the 2008 AVN Awards, that she "would never spread [her] legs for this industry again"? Hey, if you're going to quit porn, you might as well do it in front of a live audience comprised of a lot of the people who made you a star in the first place.

For sheer style, though, we'd like to single out Flux, who managed to quit with a pretty piece of prose that tugged at our heartstrings. And let's not forget Dia while we're at it.

Of course, we would never criticize anyone for choosing to do whatever will make them happy, even if we tend to have a few issues with the whole skin-star-finding-religion thing. On the other hand, since pictures of fellow former glamour model Crissy Moran are almost as popular now as they were two years ago when she found God and dropped out of the business, we're guessing that we'll still be running into Erica for a little while longer. From a legal point of view, said Walters, Florida is an interesting set of regional microcosms, with the majority of production going on in the southern part of the state, and the majority of cases against pornographers going on in the north.

Their three part series contains one re-hashed story on the dangers of podn addiction and one "where are they now?" followup on former Jacksonville Hooters girl Crissy Moran, who quit the business a year ago after finding religion. (Although judging by her still constant presence on the babelog circuit, it's like she never left.) All the stories seem to come to one conclusion—porn is here to stay, whether Floridians like it or not. (And they seems to like it quite a bit.)

So how can the same state play host to growing porn empires like the Bang Bros., yet still crack down on hardcore outfits like Ray Guhn Productions? And don't even get us started on Girls Gone Wild, which has probably done more to benefit state tourism than anything since "Where The Boys Are." (The first one!) We don't have the answers yet, but if our request to transfer to our Panama City bureau comes through, we'll let you know what we find.

Nautica Thorn plays a sex writer trapped in an uncommunicative relationship with James Deen. He tells her he is hard and wants to fuck now, but she blows him off, and not in a good way. "Don't you think it's ironic that you write an Internet sex column and you don't make time to make love with your boyfriend?" No, because Internet sex writers know what ironic means. Those are also the nails we use to type.

Still, Deen and Thorn have some valedictory sex, though neither knows it at the time. Throughout the movie, we can hear the stage directions in the background, people laughing, and I think even shooting sex scenes in other rooms. AVN gave this movie its highest rating.

Thorn's column is called "Dirty Talk". Van Damage writes to Nautica seeking a way to add spark to his failing marriage. "She's put on five pounds, I've put on ten," Damage laments. Oh my God, annul that shit, stat!

Meanwhile, Deen hooks up with his secretary and Thorn hooks up with Nick Manning. "I feel free now," Thorn says.

Manning understands. "Michael could never understand that he's hung up on a world of secrets and lies that hurt," he says, wrapping it all up. "It's all about love and honesty and pleasure."
