The Japanese have given us so much: Poi, Dokken, the Hewlett-Packard Laserjet 4000N. But they've also given us a distinctive pornic costume style. What happens, then, when Japanese pornstresses dress like their Western counterparts?

Not too much, really, but that's not the point: the costume does not define the person. Even though the trepidatious Miku Hayama and Makoto Amano are dressed as saucy French maids, they quiver and weep at the attentions of their scene partners.

And Mayu Tamaguchi, done up as the standard schoolgirl, actually behaves in a scholarly fashion rather than flouting the outfit in the way her Porn Valley sisters would.

Seira Radnu mixes and matches various Western military outfits, and she and Natsuki Luima actually appear to be having fun as their very enthusiastic and earnest Nipponese helpmeets maul and paw them.

The giggly Luima is my favorite of this bunch, though her scene in spotted pajamas is over too soon.

Nerdcore Calendar 2009: Babes Gone Sci-Fi

Ogling the babes of the Nerdcore calendar has become something of an annual (and much beloved) tradition for us here at Fleshbot HQ. With its beautiful photography, stunning models, and actual nudity, the premiere source for geeky cheesecake has set itself apart from the pack two years in a row now, and this year looks to be no different. After saluting video games and superheroes, Nerdcore has set its sights on sci-fi. Which, if you think about it, is a totally natural choice—seriously, have you seen the alien babes of "Star Trek"?

As in past years, the calendar lists important nerdy dates: movie release dates, San Diego Comic-Con, Alternative Press Expo, and the birthdays of noted sci-fi luminaries. Sangre Bloody Sangre: Carlos Batts' "Kiss Attack"

The vampire girls, daughters of evil Lord Drakul, are the target of the wicked cosplay Fleshers.

So who do we root for in "Kiss Attack," this comic art/porn/hip hop/rave/drag effort by artist Carlos Batts and his wife, the zaftig April Flores, who plays lead vampire babe Ms. Sangre? Well, in that Sangre's sisters include Sasha Grey, Sara Vandella, and a woman named La Cholita, we vote for the bloodsuckers, stupid.

Batts enlisted the help of New Mexico artist Nathan Carlisle, whose splendid animations fleshed out characters (like Drakul) that budget restrictions prevented from human depiction.

But where "Kiss Attack" really succeeds (as it should) is in its sex scenes, each with its own color palette, such as this one with the pale and lush Sara Vandalla and this vivid (small v) exchange with Sasha Grey.

Do we really learn anything new about vampires in "Kiss Attack"? Er, no. But they're a fuckload sexier than werewolves.
