    I think Tristan has been one of the very best things to happen to porn. She's shown that it's possible to make non-exploitative, misogyny and racism-free explicit hardcore porn that you don't feel guilty about watching. It seems to me that thus is a woefully-underserved audience, so many kudos to Tristan!

    I wonder what parallels exist between what female pornstars of the 70s and early 80s looked like versus today. I agree with her that there are more "natural beauties" in porn these days and that this is a difference from the 90s, but I don't think it's necessarily new. It could just be a reaction against the image of the 90s female porn actor--perhaps even a reaction among porn consumers against the ethic of consumerism (spending money to fix "the problems") that helped shape that image.

    @voliveri: I think it's fair to say that there is a direct and very pronounced response to perceived inadequacies in art with each subsequent generation.

    Maybe the 10s will see a marked decrease in 'amateur' content - I've talked to people who really don't like that trend in pornography.
