Y'know, I would have sworn that Allysin Chaynes was a lot older. I seem to remember seeing somewhere that she was in her thirties, and has been for the past several years.
Celeste nee Bunny Luv & Cherry Chase are on something. Either make porning a lark, a frivolity, something to say you did, or a career. But some of the non-careerist, though with 200 titles & more on their resume, what can they do to eclipse their earliest adult (as in "of age") occupation?
I am puzzled by the performer with only two titles to her name, though. Seems a little skimpy, even for a lark.
Last, I love how Porn Valley & Bollywood performers can make upward of 10 movies in a year -- & many more than that, sometimes, in porn -- while Hollywood actors are (overly) industrious if they do three.
Filming may run anywhere from 4 to 10 weeks (but sometimes as much as 6 months or more), but then the film goes into post-production. At any time the actors may be called in for ADR (Additional Dialogie Recording) and "pick ups" which may be shots the director or second unit didn't get, but find they subsequently need. In that case actor is needed to come back to the set, or studio for the additional work. They may also be required to go on press junkets, talk show appearances, screenings and other studio sponsored events. From first shot, to ADR, to final pick-up may be anywhere from 6 months to a year. During that time considerations such as their weight, physical condition and cosmetic appearance have to be considered in order to maintain continuity, especially if the film is show out of sequence for location purposes. In the specific case of big blockbuster with heavy CGI and post-production work, reshoots, pick-ups and ADR become even more grueling and time-consuming late in the pipeline.
In the event the actors are already working on another film, contracts might have to be worked out to allow the actor to travel to multiple locations to meet shooting demands of both productions (this is in addition to any sidegigs such as stage work, guest appearances, family obligations, etc). While this isn't necessarily true of every shoot, it is a concern for the principal talent. Actors, directors and studios often try to work this out in advance allowing plenty of time to keep contract negotiations and shooting schedules tangle-free. Contracts for a movie sometimes specify that an actor is contracted to that production, until the movie is out the door and has been in theater release for at least two weeks.
Porn, Bollywood and other low-budget films, on the other hand, are often shot, beginning to end, in less than 8 weeks time, with post-production taking no more than 2 or 3 weeks. Pick-ups, ADR and re-shoots are virtually non-issues as the budget rarely allows for it.
Of course there may be lazy American actors (and of any nationality, let's not stereotype) but the fact they tend not to over-shoot is based more on studio politics and current production timelines, than anything else.
@Lux Alptraum: I included indie films and Bollywood films in that list, and "three days" is less than eight weeks. Apparently I should have been more specific.
Barely Legal is one of my favorite porn franchises. They consistently find amazing girls. Belladonna, Bunny Luv, Justine Joli, Lexi Belle, Sunrise Adams, Brea Bennett... so many!
Granted there are plenty of "weak" scenes, but over all, I am a huge fan of the movie series, even if the magazine is a bit tame.
@Lux Alptraum: OMG no, can't forget Gauge! She is one of the yummiest little delights, ever! That tiny beauty can take some HUGE cock!
I seriously could have gone on, and on, and on! I have at least 25 Barely Legal volumes, and there are so many gorgeous girls who started in them. It really is an underrated series in that regard!

American (non-sex-movie) actors are lazy.

Something cool about the "one take only" approach of porn, when it works.
Anyway, good to know my avatar is still pumping out some good stuff!
