A lot of people respect Fleshbot and I think that, the more viewers a site has, the more journalistic responsibility it has to post accurate information. I'm a bit disappointed that Fleshbot has not posted a follow-up to this article, correcting the inaccuracies here.

The rankings I provide are based on aggregated statistics of common benchmarks and numbers are not a matter of opinion. Yes, I benchmarked all the multi-model multi-photographer sites for the article. It seems a lot of those in "altporn", not only do not give credit where it is due, but often avoid even acknowledging others in their niche, but I do not feel that anyone else's success diminishes my own. Honestly, I think it just looks uninformed, at best, to not acknowledge the world around ourselves.

PS I prefer the term counterculture erotica to altporn because I founded Blue Blood in print in 1992 and I feel the artistic and cohesive lifestyle aspects are larger than the sex aspect. But I understand that sometimes someone can want to call a genre speculative fiction, and people will go right on referring to it as sci-fi, and it is still the same genre by another name.
