This is a great thing to see! I have 2 friends who are sex workers and they are 2 of the most normal and grounded women I know, plus they really enjoy this job. One had worked in accounting and just tired of the corporate world, especially after escorting every now and again. I am glad to count them as friends and to hear their own unique perspective on their work, the industry and society's perception of it all...
Sex workers work REALLY hard for their shekels. Why aren't they treated as well as anyone else is because of the attitudes of prudish people who have problems with their own bodies and minds.
Now is there any way I can worship at the toes of the bacon loving tall girl? >_>
Seeing this Saturday eve, I was ecstatic to note the pride of place for pegging. Kevin Smith is not... I don't want to say squeamish, but he's certainly not intimidated by innovation.
Some venues are refusing advertising with the word "porno" in it, even though the ads have been approved by the MPAA. The Weinstein Company has provided alternate advertising material for those venues.
Anyone else noticed that leading up to the film's release they've begun dropping the "Make A Porno" from television ads and playing down that aspect entirely?
It's probably in response to all the backlash they've been getting -- Philly wouldn't let them run ads on bus shelters, etc... Here in NYC, there are many posters for the movie on cabs and bus shelters with the name intact. I love New York.
@Lux Alptraum: Comedy Central has been running the ads during The Daily Show, if I am not mistaken, so that's something at least... and here in LA there are big billboards everywhere promoting the movie, full title and all! :)

Cougars, bears, stallions and foxes?

And yes, I think we should all chip in and create a Bacon Donation Fund for Dylan, because she deserves it :)

Of course, these are the same TV stations that try to sneak cameras into the local strip clubs during sweeps week.

(Okay, I don't watch much TV.)

I know the posters you're talking about though, I see them all the time around Union Square.
