We used to get in trouble a lot when we were growing up for what our teachers referred to as our "attitude", though we never exactly understood what that was supposed to mean. And now that we've had a chance to examine the portfolio of the Buckinghamshire (UK)-based erotic photographer who simply goes by the name of Mark, we're more confused than ever: after all, we don't recall running around school topless in full clown makeup or with studded codpieces on our face, and we definitely would have remembered showing up for class with gas masks on or with giant clothespins clamped to our nipples. Somehow, though, Mark's very sexy alt-style models make naughty things like that look almost innocent—and a hell of a lot of fun. If that's what attitude is all about, we totally should've tried to misbehave more.

Meet Tilt, an internationally recognized graffiti artist hailing from the south of France who enjoys putting his tag on anything he can get his hands on ... especially when "anything" happens to be the body of a hot young girl. There's was a time not too long ago when a woman who covered her body in tattoos would have been considered very unladylike. Depending on your definition of a lady we might still be living in that time, but inked up women still hold a certain cultural fascination even as they become more and more common. German photographer Boris Schmalenberger has an interesting take on the whole phenomenon in his Picturebook Women project. He rounded up several girls with numerous and colorful tattoos and posed them a series of three photographs each—a headshot, a random posed portrait, and a nude—allowing you to see each model from multiple perspectives. He explains it all in better detail on this short blog about the project, where you can also see the photos in question and draw your own conclusions about women who draw on themselves. Just try and stay inside the lines.
