Picturebook Women Tell A Sexy Tale

There's was a time not too long ago when a woman who covered her body in tattoos would have been considered very unladylike. Depending on your definition of a lady we might still be living in that time, but inked up women still hold a certain cultural fascination even as they become more and more common. German photographer Boris Schmalenberger has an interesting take on the whole phenomenon in his Picturebook Women project. He rounded up several girls with numerous and colorful tattoos and posed them a series of three photographs each—a headshot, a random posed portrait, and a nude—allowing you to see each model from multiple perspectives. He explains it all in better detail on this short blog about the project, where you can also see the photos in question and draw your own conclusions about women who draw on themselves.
