We've seen a lot of badly designed websites over the years here at Fleshbot (we do write about porn, after all)—but French glamour and art nude photographer Frederic Peche's is definitely one to remember: the text-heavy layout has all the sexiness and verve of the minutes from your local zoning board meeting. In fact, it's so badly designed and unappealing that we're not really sure how we managed to find the photos at all; good thing that "Portfolio" is one of the three or four French words we remember. But we're glad we stuck around, because Peche's photos are pretty hot. And at the end of the day, isn't that what really matters? Come on, it's not like you're going to jack it to good web design. Lost In Lust: Cherise Isis' "American Stripper"

We'd like to say that the photos that comprise photographer Cherise Isis' recent "American Stripper" exhibition at Peer Gallery in New York City were more than just shots of hot topless dancers wrapping themselves around poles—you know, that they made some sort of Grand Statement about the way women were commodified by the voyeuristic gaze of an audience and that they offered a glimpse into the often sordid underbelly of certain kinds of sex work. But the truth is that most of these action portraits are a lot more gentle in their grainy soft-focus dreaminess (even when they show strippers lighting their boobs on fire); the occasional smile peeks out from the sea of arched backs and heavy-lidded eyes and several of the dancers don't appear to have slid to the bottom of the poles in question so much as to have floated there, lost in their own private reveries of desire and exhaustion like spent muses at the end of a long shift. Guess they really are more than just shots of hot topless dancers after all.

Pmatt Freedman: Silent Color, Tasty Nudes

We've found ourselves quite taken by the striking imagery in Pmatt Freedman's online portfolio. (We're also taken by his name. Do you think the P or the M is silent?) His collections of nudes contains works in bold colors, some haunting black and white studies, and models that look like real (and sexy) people as opposed to plasticized mannequins.

And although "Silent Color" seems like an appropriate label for an artist who clearly understands how much an image can speak without saying a word, we're still confused about one other thing. Is that fruit up there supposed to be symbolic of something? It sure looks tasty, but we never were very good at picture puzzles.

But for obvious reasons, we're most taken by his "At Home" series of pictures that explores the "comfort of nudity in one's home." While we commend Diaz Arri and/or the staff at Barcelona's Agencia SIC for reminding us that glamour nude photography is about more things than just pert pairs of breasts or juicy asses stuffed into frilly lace panties—like proper oral hygiene—we needs must take issue with the fact that the exotic-looking model shown brushing her teeth in several photographs in the "Narrow Nudes" section (whatever that means) is doing so while kneeling at a bidet: all that crouching on a hard tile floor in front of a porcelain device ordinarily reserved for washing other parts can be murder on the knees. (Unless, of course, you remember to put on a pair of knee pads first, but then that brings up a whole other set of issue ... like why you'd just happen to have a pair of knee pads in your bathroom to begin with.)

Pascal Renoux is self-taught photographer who live and works in France, taking portraits that are soft around the edges and that bring to mind the earlier days of photography when the medium was still raw—but not nearly as sexy as it is today. While there are landscapes and still-lifes in his online portfolio, Pascal's work is primarily about people, naked as the day they were born. Mose are posed in awkward positions, lashing out as if they were angry or frightened, creating the overall effect of exposing individuals as they are. The bodies come in all shapes and sizes too, which makes the images much more moving than your standard model in the buff photoblog. Not there's anything wrong with those, but we could all use a little more variety in our lives, right?

Leonard Nimoy's Nude Mission

Like the classic "Betty or Veronica" and "Ginger or Mary Ann" debates, how you answer the question "Kirk or Spock?" says a lot about you as a person. (Either way you're a geek, but bear with us.) Even in retirement their alter-egos carry on the battle of "passion vs. logic," only now they do it in the final frontier of nude photography. While William Shatner chooses to get up close (and maybe a little too personal) with Playboy models, Leonard Nimoy has created a nice second career for himself shooting artistic portraits of women you generally won't find in one of his movies.

We've mentioned his "Full Body Project" before, but (two years later) The New York Times has gotten on board with a thoughtful look at this ongoing work, which is currently featured in galleries across the country and will culminate in a book to be released later this year. Naturally, the discussion focuses on his fascination with large women and the paper discovers that for the most part, people don't seem to mind that much. His message of body acceptance hasn't exactly reached the pages of Vogue, but maybe the fact that people might actually want to see pictures of full-sized naked women isn't so shocking these days, even if some of the kids can't seem to wrap their heads around the idea. Enduring all the fat jokes with a Vulcan-like patience is no problem for Nimoy, who clearly sees his work as more than just a hobby (or a one-time lark, like the old captain.) Natasha Barabasha is actually the code name shared by two different erotic photographers ... or it was until they stopped sharing the name and went their separate ways earlier this year, even though they still share a photo gallery where they share their art nudes and studio images with the world. If all that sharing has you confused you're probably not alone, since there's no way to even tell which of the two shooters—Natasha or Andrei—is responsible for which pictures. We guess we'll just have to go on pretending that this Barabasha character is like a giant photo-taking Voltron, combining forces to capture exotic-looking babes in sexy and intimate portraits. Perhaps they don't sign their pictures for the same reason we don't sign our blog posts ... it's about the boobs, man.

It's nothing we haven't seen before, but we rather like this collection of nus artistiques (that means "artistic nudes")—and even though the photographer behind them is described as "amateur" (that means "not paid"; our French is getting better all the time!), we would have never questioned their credentials. We also saw something written elsewhere on his site about Paris and a nom de camera, "Gorgui," but despite our obviously mastery of the language there's not a whole lot more information to share about the artist. We can tell you however, that this is a fine assortment of beautiful French girls in (mostly) black and white portraits, that should make any art nude fan—pro or amateur—proud. The models and their settings are natural, not stylized, and like all good art pieces, show off the forms of the body in an interesting way. Not a bad hobby to have if you ask us.

Don't bother trying to click on the English-language "Entry" link when you visit photographer Charles Mons' site: the navigation for his sumptuous online portfolio of fur-clad and rope-bound fetish nudes doesn't seem to have been translated yet. But once you find your way in, we're sure you'll have no problem exploring the various rooms of his chateau: what you'll see in "Le Boudoir" and "Le Donjon" is pretty much what you'd expect even if your French is limited to words like, say, "boudoir" and "donjon". The real treat, though, is Mons' gallery of anaglyph photos, which is worth tracking down a pair of 3-D glasses for in order to appreciate fully. For some of you, looking at those hyper-realistic scenes of restraining devices, suspension bondage, and models in garter belts pissing on each other will be an exercise in delicious frustration; for the more timid, knowing you can experience them from a safe distance without getting your wrists chafed or feet wet will probably be more than enough.

Ever wish that you could just pack it all in and live out your golden years taking nude photographs of gorgeous women? That's the life for the proprietor of Looknsee Photography, which isn't a studio operation as much as it is the hobby of a semi-retired photographer in Portland, Oregon. While the website has a certain amateurish charm, the photos rise above the level of your typical weekend point-and-click warrior, and it helps that there seems to be an overabundance of beautiful glamour models in Oregon. Best of all there are thousands of free images in the collection, charting several years of Looknsee's, for fun, not profit enterprise. It's exactly what we plan to do with our retirement money, which we're fairly certain is waiting for us under one of the these scratch-off tickets.

It's hard to know how to classify Jean Pierre Rey's photographs other than to say that they're, well ... a little bizarre. We know that his models are nude because the boobs and the vaginas and the asses are all there, but just not in any way that you'd usually recognize. The privates are separated from their bodies in a manner that suggests a metaphysical deconstruction, an elaborate case of body part worship, or too much WIld Turkey. But in any case the result is some strange and kinky images. If you've had your fill of scary disembodied penis, but still like your smut a little bit on the wacky side—or just want a trippy porn experience without all those nasty side effects you get from actual drugs—these galleries could be just right for you.

John Peri's Overabundant Nudes

Some photographers aren't as generous as others when it comes sharing their work online: they throw up a few low-res sample photos and a call it day. John Peri is not one of those photographers. His gallery page on photographer warehouse Photo.net has over 1,000 images of all different stripes—color, black and white, studio, outdoor, artistic manipulations and more. Nearly all of them, of course, focus on beautiful nude women. Even though he uses professional models, Peri looks for the "girl next door" and tries to capture them in relaxed, quiet moments as opposed to more flashy, pin-up style images. Good luck sorting through them all, however, since you're going to need to set aside a good chunk of your day to get through the whole collection. It's proof positive that you can never have too much of a good thing.

French photographer Guy Le Baube's impressive resumé should tip you off right away that he's no sleazy cheesecake hack, no siree: "An award winning photographer, highly esteemed for his editorial work in world renowned fashion magazines, his photography has been seen in Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Marie-Claire ... Guy Le Baube's photographs reveal a sensibility that lies between the sexiness of Helmut Newton and the playfulness of Jacques-Henri Lartigue." In fact, if his portfolio wasn't full of things like naked Amazonian supermodels posing with things like dogs, masks, garter belts, and thigh-high mesh stockings, we might've thought it was a little too highfalutin for poor shlubs like us. As it stands, though, the copious boobage makes it all very approachable. We may not know much about art, but we do happen to know a nice pair of tits when we see them.

Vintage Pulchritude: The Sexy Of Yore

No one seems to use the word "pulchritude" much any more, which means "physical comeliness." (If you're wondering what that means, it means "hot.") So combine that with the word "vintage" and that's pretty much all you need to know about this blog of ye olde smut. It's a collection of ancient nudity—black and white photos, advertisements, and the ever-present naughty postcards—scanned and posted for the pleasure of dirty old men (and ladies) everywhere, and dating from the early days of photography to the first half of the last century. We're guessing on the time frame since there's not a shred of accompanying text, although it would be nice to know a little more about the origins of these images or at least where the blogger in question manages to dig them up. Or maybe you don't need all that silly context and just want more of the physical comeliness. Trust us—they've got all the comeliness you can handle.

If you're going to do photographic figure studies, it helps if you start with interesting, you know ... figures. Sita Mae Edwards chooses models with sharp, cut lines that bring their own definition to the image. A healthy amount of skin art helps liven things up as well. Her photos are all about the shape and form of the human body—male and female—and it's hard to think of a better use for the camera. Except for maybe cat photos. Those little guys are soooo cute!

German Saez is one of those photographers whose work caught our attention by its sheer breadth: a trip through his two online portfolios as well as his Flickr stream turns up a dizzying array of portrait and still life photos in mediums ranging from high-gloss digital to low-fi cameraphone and Lomo shots; pictures of musical artists including Duran Duran and Elvis Costello; and travel documentary that covers the globe from Buenos Aires to Zurich. We're especially interested, though, in the work he keeps in his "Fotos Privadas" portfolio, because among his many talents Saez straddles that fine line between artsy porn and porny art particularly well. And you know how we can never resist that kind of versatility.
