For whatever reason, it seems that most of the del.icio.us- and Digg-inspired porn-flavored community bookmarking sites we've covered here in the past have a hard time gaining momentum; is it because that browsing smut online is essentially a solitary activity that precludes many people from sharing their stash with others? (Be thankful we're not like that, or you'd be staring at an empty page right now.) If anyone can make the concept work, however, it's the pornographic connoissuers at New York City's Museum of Sex, who launched their "community-driven web site where users determine the best sex sites on the web" this week. It's too soon to tell whether their experiment in "'taste-networking' technology"—which both profiles and claims to be able to predict a user's tastes in erotic content—will take off with a wide audience or not. But we're keeping our fingers crossed, and will even be contributing our own finds to their database. After all, the only thing more fun than looking at porn is seeing what porn your fellow pervs are looking at.
