Divini Rae vs. Playboy

2004_11_24_divini.jpg

Hot on the high heels of former Playboy Playmate Jill Ann Spaulding's exposé on Hef and company comes Divini Rae Sorenson's upcoming "thinly veiled memoir" in Citizen Culture ("The Magazine for the Young Intellectual"), in which the Miss November 2003 turned mainstream model writes a fictionalized account of "mandatory orgies, drugging, molestation and other sordid details of life at a Playboy Mansion-like sin palace," according to Page Six. The Playboy folks are said to be "on a tear" about the story, although we don't see why they're so upset: after all, "Charles Lester" doesn't sound that much like the name of Playboy's presiding bachelor, and an aspiring fiction writer has to get her inspiration from somewhere. (Judging from the excerpt we read, Divini needs all the literary help she can get.)
