A porn talent search reality show isn't a particularly original concept - several smut sites and DVD releases (both straight and gay) have been riffing on the idea ever since "American Idol" became a broadcast behemoth. But "Private Stars" is different in that it was comissioned by a major television channel (Bravo), produced by a major hardcore studio (Private, duh) and will be shown on national cable and satellite outlets in the UK next month. Imagine HBO or Showtime partnering with a porn producer to make a smut-flavored reality show and you'll get an idea why this is getting so much attention. (Er, then again ... )
