“Playboy: The Mansion” Review2005_02_04_playboygame.jpg

GameSpot puts a damper on the dreams we’ve been having for months to see what it would be like to slip into Hef’s smoking jacket for a while in its review for the much-anticipated “Playboy: The Mansion”: “This Sims-style strategy game comes off as cold and mechanical, capturing none of the devil-may-care attitude you’d expect and casting Hef’s idyllic lifestyle as a hollow grind.” (Guess none of former Playmate Jill Ann Spalding’s notes made it into the final release.) Hold up … are they saying that working in the adult industry can be repetetive and dull as any other kind of job? Maybe the game’s a lot more true to life than they’re giving it credit for!
