Now that Halloween has come and gone and we've seen more Larry Craig costumes than we care to encounter in a lifetime, who can the politically aware homosexualist look to for more juicy scandals involving hypocritical conservative lawmakers and their extracurricular dalliances? The Upper Left Coast has been abuzz this week over the exploits of cross-dressing Republican state representative Richard Curtis, who resigned today after it was revealed that he was being blackmailed by a hustler man he had sex with in Spokane last week; apparently, Curtis reneged on his promise to pay his new friend $1000 for his company, at which point said enterprising young gentlemen decided to go public with his story.

The young man in question is Cody Castagna, a former waiter and bake shop assistant who, unsurprisingly, has somewhat of a murky past himself: sources report that he pled guilty earlier this year for stealing a woman's gambling winnings from an Idaho casino, and a reader at Towleroad thinks he recognized him from an appearance in Treasure Island Media's "Damon Blows America #3". Fortunately for us, one of our own readers definitely recognized him from a couple of photos and wobbly screen grabs on a members-only gay picpost site*, in which he appears as ... uh, Cody Castagna, which made the identification pretty easy. After all, if you're going to be splashed all over the national news anyway, why bother coming up with a fake porn name in the first place?
