Imagine the shock and horror you might feel if mere days before you were to compete in an international competition a freak accident jeopardized not only your chances of winning, but your entire career? Such was the peril facing Kaho Watanabe, who was preparing to do battle in Sloggi's regional underwear pageant when she sat on a curling iron and burned her ass.

Despite the obvious scarring and (we're guessing) an inability to sit down, Kaho persevered, digging deep into her intestinal fortitude to not only appear in the contest ... but to win the whole thing! She was crowned "Japan's Best Bottom" and will move on to the world championships in Germany. It's a stunning underdog tale, worthy of "Seabiscuit" or "Rudy" only way more inspiring. Don't you just love a happy (rear) ending?
