The registered trademark Jesse Jane beat out Joan Allen, the Bumblebee Girl from the Blind Melon video, and Clara Peller for the title of Best U.S. Actress at this month's Venus Awards in Berlin. Though Jane said she didn't expect to take the trophy (again), her chops were so fierce that she received this award for a body of work that included several non-speaking roles ("Island Fever 4") as well as the titular role (heh) in a film ("Babysitters") in which she didn't even see a child. Bumblebee Girl's disgraced former publicist was heard to mutter, "It's like (Bumble) Bee Girl, Joan Allen, and Clara Peller weren't even in the running."
