In one of those rent-a-red carpet premieres one often sees in Hollywood, porn star-turned-gubernatorial candidate-turned-B-movie-starlet Mary Carey seemed to find a niche that isn't as readily available to her in the world of porn.

"Pervert!" is the story of murder in the desert by an unlikely culprit. Carey pretty much giggles her way through her role and as such is much more believable than her voluptuous and tasty real-actress cohorts. She is doing what Anna Nicole Smith couldn't in her crossover bid.

"I have $9,000 teeth," Carey explained.

"If I could re-shoot the movie so that Mary was in it more, I would," said director Jonathan Yudis, who appeared in the movie boot-kicking his own child. "People said that casting a porn star would be the kiss of death, but people really responded to her."

Yudis and crew hope to make "Pervert!" a midnight cult classic as well as a video moneymaker. "Russ Meyer would be proud," said Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens star Kitten Natividad.
