Every once in a while we receive an angry rant polite reminder that not all girls are strapon-wielding lesbians or cock hungry sluts thirsty for a dirt pipe milkshake: in fact, it seems that there are lots of women out there who actually like porn, despite whatever certain parties would have you believe and although most of what gets made—and featured here on Fleshbot—is still very much about the guy and his money shot. A leftover question from our most recent Best of Sex Advice roundup drove the point home: when it comes to smut made for straight girls, you have to look a little harder to find the good stuff. The experts at Babeland suggested the always reliable Candida Royalle, in addition to a few classics of the "for couples" genre, but it doesn't have to stop there. You can also try websites like Dreamscope Movies, which is attempting to build directory of "stylish and sensual" movies (although even they admit that pickings are mighty slim.) We suggest sticking with studios and directors that are known for their record of putting ladies first—or at least tied for first—like Comstock Films, Petra Joy, and Tristan Taormino. And Fleshbot's own Gal Friday Violet Blue is always a reliable source for women- and couples-friendly smut tips—she doesn't run the Smart Girl's Porn Club for nothing, you know. After all, if whatever you're doing doesn't attract women, then what's the point?

Shortbus, I'd say, is a good concept of Porn for Women. The usual complaint is that the sex doesn't happen naturally, and in a lot of porn made for women, this still doesn't occur. Shortbus covers that by allowing the sex to be a natural element, instead of putting the people into positions that are impossible in the real world.
Alice in Wonderland (the Porn Musical) also does this. It is much easier to find porn for women if you look at porn from the 60's and 70's. The quality of the image is worse, but they don't make it such a point to get the money shot, or have the girl stand on her head with an arm on the kitchen table, a leg in the bathtub, and her pussy 20 feet in the air. They have sex like people have sex, and continue on with an actual story.
Most of the material available these days fail when it comes to making couples porn, or porn for women. In my experience its much easier to look to the past, then it is to hope that Porn will get it right now. Hell, you could remake most of the old porn, use the same scripts, and shoot the same sex scenes, and have a better time of it, then things like 'Pirates.' (which was good, but still failed at making the sex a believable part of the story)
I'm loathe to include them because... well, they don't meet my standards, but a complete listing of porn for straight women should probably include the new line of Playgirl/Wicked titles and also the movies from Inpulse, by Nina Lennox. These films are aimed at straight women. Apparently "Burning Lust" by Playgirl sells very well.
I didn't think much of either of these lines because a. The women didn't have orgasms and b. They make use of the standard porn formula and thus get pretty boring, pretty quick.
Still, everybody look nice.
Anna Span is currently working on a new movie called "Women Love Porn" but it has been held up with the British censors due to a female ejaculation scene.
Disclosure: I run http://www.pornmoviesforwomen.com and http://www.msnaughty.com/blog/so I do my best to keep up with new women's porn films and women's erotica in general.
I forgot to add: All About Anna from Innocent Pictures, a company that is part of Lars Von Trier's Zentropa Productions. It's a feature film with real sex and it was made for straight women. It's due for US release in May (or thereabouts).
All About Anna is actually the third adult film made for women by this company. The others are "Constance" and "Pink Prison."
The filmmakers follow the Puzzy Power Manifesto, a set of guidelines listing what needs to happen in their erotic films for women.
