Photographer Charise Isis' boudoir portraits are no suburban mall Glamour Shots, for certain. They've got a sort of ethereal, nineteenth century dirty postcard feeling to them, only the people in the pictures actually look beautiful and comfortable in their skin, whereas in the nudie postcards of yore people look like they've never sat naked on a couch before (I mean, come on!). The boudoir portraits are all sexy pictures of real people, taken for posterity or most often for their lovers. Sexy pictures are great, its true, but they're even better when they are taken for the familiar eyes of a lover—and by looking at them, we become lovers of the photo subjects ourselves. Sweet.
