Ah, if only our job had the kind of perks that San Diego-based photographer D. Brian Nelson's does: photographing gorgeous nude women in hotel rooms everywhere from Hollywood to Ankara, Turkey. While it was his intimate and extraordinarily sexy black-and-white portraits of models and escorts was what caught our attention to begin with, his commentary on each woman and thoughts on the nature of his craft are what sets his blog apart from most of the other art nude portfolio sites we've come across in our travels: "Did Priscilla-Mae actually look like this when we were making the photograph? No, not really. She actually is in color. And I could clearly see the features on both sides of her face ... When looking at a photograph, look for how the light works. See if the photographer was using it well or just using it for illumination. Light is what photography is about."
