Sure, most of our reading happens online in 200 word chunks of blog posts—and usually if there aren't pictures of boobies, we're outta there. But if we're really going to sit down with one of those book things, we'd be leafing through the 848 recently published pages of the two-volume Encyclopedia of Prostitution and Sex Work, which is a pervy librarian's wet dream. The $225 two-vilume set has entries ranging from more the staid and serious (Globalization) to pop culture (Pimpmobile), with lots of stuff in between: Debby Doesn't Do It for Free, Geisha, Male Stripping, Purity Movements, and Temporary Marriage. We think its about time the world's oldest profession got a reference book of its very own. Now if you'll excuse us, we're going to read up on what Debby is up to these days ...
