Hillary Scott: An Appreciation

The figures documenting the average career span of a female porn performer are not nearly as vague as those purporting to reflect how much money the adult industry makes. The truth is that most actresses stay in the business for about a year, total, including hiatuses and premature retirements. If anything, our recent trip to Las Vegas was significant for seeing lots of ex-porn stars coming out of the woodwork to bask in the familiar glow.

One of the newly crowned AVN Performer of the Year Hillary Scott's many qualities is her lack of attention-seeking behavior. The multi-AVN-Award-winning Chicago gal turns on the charm when necessary but seems most comfortable keeping casual.

"Hillary Scott" is this person's only porn name and she has been in the adult business for two years. In that time Scott has appeared in dozens of movies that demonstrate her range as an actor (for her role in this year's Best Picture winner "Corruption" she cried on cue) and the elasticity of her anus.

(If it made us uncomfortable to type that imagine how it sounded when Scott blithely pointed out on set one day that she needed to "feed (her) stink star.")

Scott also won Best Actress-Video at this year's AVN Awards, an honor usually given to people who've been in the biz for a longer time. With dozens of major, minor, and "prestige" movies released by the porn world each month, it is a major achievement to be noticed among the throng.
