'Toon Porn on MSNBC

2004_10_20_msnbctoons.jpg

In case you haven't been keeping up via Fleshbot over the last twelve months, MSNBC explains the whole phenomenon of 'toon porn for you in an article that starts out by mentioning tame stuff like the recent video game character spread in Playboy and goes on to alarm readers (surprise) about the more disturbing, violent, and possibly illegal aspects of the genre: in a breathless conflation of fantasy and reality, one "cybersex expert" is quoted as saying "Stuff that they would never have thought about doing or imagining is right there for the taking ... So people do get on these sites where you have sex with children or corpses or people who’ve had limbs amputated. What the cartoons do is make it even more OK because you can say it’s not humans.” Actually, we thought that 'toons were about having fantasies instead of acting on them. But what do we know? We're not the experts here.
