Of course, not all of the digital artwork that catches our eye around here involves trouser snake-yanking celebrities: French artist Axl casts a wide net when it comes to his subject matter and the techniques he uses to depict them, but (surprise!) we're most interested in the reconfigured glamour and soft porn shots on display on his "Models" section—which also happens to be the largest area of his online portfolio. The usual effect ends up being something like a cross between a vintage daguerreotype, a Pop Art painting, and something you'd see blown up on the walls of a really really fancy hair salon—and even if he's sparing in his use of full-on nudity, his work ends up being a lot more sexy than a lot of the more explicit stuff we've seen for what it leaves up to the imagination. After all, isn't that what fantasy is supposed to be all about?
