Mexican artist Carmen García Núñez uses a combination of digital photography, found sexual imagery, and self-portraiture to create provocative (and sometimes disturbing) visual commentaries on eroticism, domesticity, and femininity: "The daily things, the routine, sex in the life of a woman, are the subjects that she approaches in her artistic production. The Desire to carry on an alternate life, a double life, is redefined in these compositions. Putting daily scenes as background and the using erotic drawings of herself as foreground layers is as well the language or speech that she projects through a supposed duality of life."
