Turning towards a different ideal of artificial femininity, Dutch artist Rick F. van Koert remembers where his obsession with beautiful women in tight shiny outfits all began: "I was 12 and saw Jane Fonda do her thing in 'Barbarella' ... It was like a firework went off in my head." Luckily for all of us he picked up a pen and and airbrush and started putting his fantasies on paper (and the computer screen): we especially like his vision of a latex-suited Jaclyn Smith modeling a device K-Mart somehow forgot to stock.
