As amusing as the whole boob-baring stunt was at the time, we realize now that Janet Jackson is to blame for totally sucking the fun out of watching the Super Bowl; these days, every second of halftime entertainment and commercial break is pre-screened for even the merest hint of family-unfriendly content and some advertisers—like the ones in this video gallery at Heavy.com—get to crow about the fact that their ads were "banned" from being broadcast during the biggest sports event of the year. Which isn't to say that some of these commercials don't have their moments—we were especially tickled by Bodog.com's "Beaver Slap" spot—but think about how much more interesting they would've been had they appeared on your TV screen at some random moment in the third quarter instead of being ghettoized to a high-bandwith online showcase. Sure makes us wish for the good ol' days of '04.
