The thread was pretty long, so I thought I would leave you a message about your foundation question. I don't know if you've tried the mineral make-up or not. I have a friend who started making her own line. She has researched and cut all of the nasty stuff out that you find in the commercial lines. My skintone is hard to match too - I am almost ivory but have peach undertones that are next to impossible to match. This stuff is the first I've found that matches well and stays all day. Laura has rosacea and I never knew it, yet she never looks overdone. She now has a website at ourrockminerals.com if you think this would work for you.
I'm spoiled. I see her every week and she uses me as a guinea pig for new colors. She has also blended custom stuff for me that gets raves when I walk through the cosmetic counters on my way to look for shoes.

I am as well unable to meet people in NYC. Let's make a meetup! Also: I sell cheese.

I. LOVE. YOU.
That is the BEST MS Paint I have ever seen. Any time you want to "Photoshop Slam," I am so on. Name a time and place, baby ^_^

I may have gone too far with my last one, I need to stop photoshoping everything (a little like "Kel", I think!) ^_^

My thighs can crack walnuts. Just wanted you to know. In fact, sometimes I wake up in the morning with walnut shells in the sheets. I am one of those walnut-cracking sleep-eaters.

Hey there ^_^
Yeah, I would say Cabs are a good boxed wine contender -- I still think bottles are the way to go when expecting something fantastic, but I definitely like some of the cabs out there for daily consumption.
Black Box, Powers, and Banrock Station have decent cabs (I've enjoyed them, myself). They're mostly uncomplicated, though if I recall correctly, the Powers was pretty complex for a boxed wine. Overall, they are pretty fruit-foward (me likey). Not a Cab, but I also like Pinot Evil, which could just be because of the awesome name!
See if your local wine shop does tastings -- they are starting to taste out boxed wines, and you might find a personal favorite that way. Happy drinking!

I just wanted to say "Thanks" for regularly cracking me up and making my day with your comments. Also, my nickname in grade school long, long ago was cheese. My friends were not creative enough to put a 'ts' in front :-)

If I were a guy (if I WAS a guy? 'IF I WERE A RICH MAN, BUM BUM...) my balls would be made of liquid hot magma.
You are so fun to read on Jezebel!

I love their stern trapezoidal snouts and their eyeball capsules.
And they look purposeful.

Anyone wanna bet that even though it's from a billion years ago and made of canvas and not really for our species, it STILL fits better than anything at Victoria's Secret?

@Sukie in the Graveyard: I'm kind of a Photoshop jockey, and I have a tendency to touch up photos to...I dunno, make them look more like themselves.

I know I mentioned earlier today that I find pictorial portrayals of p33ns to be more laughable than lustable.
But is it bad that I think it's kind of rad that there's full dude-ity nudity?

This may be the very nature of written communication - and I think that in this day and age, we can apply that to ANY form of communication that can be captured and recalled for later use, whether it's on paper or it's on a screen or if it's a book or a jpeg or a Flash file.

@Archetype: I think SJ's are vastly appealing to a certain subset of the Jez crowd who have figured out how to strike the proper tone of snark.
Hortense and BangieB have both stated many times that in the past, SJs were once a fun snarkfest, where everyone would try to outsnark each other on certain aspects of the given photo at hand.

@MeanReds: Can I expand on that?
I think you've made some points that could be fleshed out.
