The results are in ... and the 2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year is none other than Miss January 2007, Jayde Nicole. You may have recall Miss Jayde from one of our ancient Best of Babelogs artifacts, but take some time to check out her tribute gallery on Playboy.com and you might fall in love all over again. And if those back of the centerfold "Data Sheets" from the magazine aren't dynamic enough, try out the video version to learn all about her what she likes, hates—and what gets her hot. (Wait, she likes guys that smell good? Where are those Axe Angels when you need them?)

+5 for "Respect" tattooed above the mons pubis.
@hebear mcghee (is a wolf in wolf's clothing): +5 for using the phrase "mons pubis."
@hebear mcghee (is a wolf in wolf's clothing): I gotta go -10 for the tattoo, tattoos always look trashy on girls, and Playboy they're supposed to be the classiest! All the shaved snatches there too just seem wrong lol
Being the boyfriend of a woman with a very beautiful tattoo on her back I couldn't disagree more, but by your logic, how do tattoos not look trashy on guys? I know this isn't Jezebel, but double standards shouldn't fly in the world of porn either.
@hebear mcghee (is a wolf in wolf's clothing): Ha, forgot to click the reply button. Dun dun dun dun.
Some tats look good, most, imho, don't.
But putting "respect" above your snatch so people can see it as you model nude, has to be some sort of irony of the year winner.
Surprised it isn't misspelled...
I've got Eric Cartman's voice in my head, saying "Respect... My Authori-tay!"
Oh no, now I've got Ali G's voice in my head, saying "RESPEK, yo!"
@hebear mcghee (is a wolf in wolf's clothing): Tattoos look trashy on guys, too. Well, some do. Others just make you look like a biker or an ex-con.
To get back to the matter at hand, this selection, while fitting, is quite the surprise. Particularly to the hive at GawkerMedia. (As I recall, one of A.J. Daulerio's last "Cultural Oddsmaker" columns at Deadspin put odds on the candidates for PMOY. His clubhouse favourite? Heather Rene Smith. Close behind: Shannon James (like The Balls, a Philadelphian, so maybe some bias there). Not featured (if I recall correctly): Jayde Nicole, the eventual winner.) A brunette, from Canada, winning the crown? On the heels of blonde Floridian Kara Monaco & blonde coed Sara Jean Underwood? Really?
This deviation from the standard excites me. Jayde was not my pick -- I would have gone for Giuliana Marino -- but like GM is one of the foreigns, a brunette, & not quite so modified as many of the last decade of Playboy models (centerfolds, celebrity spreads, special editions). So, kudos to Hef for putting his finger on my pulse.
@Not_so_much: Um, it's ironic because why?
Is there some implication that nude models don't deserve respect?
Cause that's about as far from the truth as you can get.
@hebear mcghee (is a wolf in wolf's clothing): @Ecks: i actually think that the tattoo IDEA is cool (women and their pussies deserve respect), but is getting a tattoo that says it the best way to do so? it's ironic to me because a tattoo is a fairly superficial thing, while respect is much more complex
on another note: is the nose job as obvious to other people as it is to me?
