You're probably familiar with the concept of encounter groups: you know, when slightly maladjusted yuppies go off into the woods with a bunch of other uptight freaks to work out intimacy issues arising from their relationships with distant, unapproachable fathers by doing trust falls, hitting each other with pillows, and roasting marshmallows in a camp circle. Oh, and doing dope and having lots and lots of violent sex with multiple partners. Did you not know about that part?
