We've gotten into a lot of arguments over the years over the brilliance of "Showgirls" (no, really), and we still think that its consistent level of pole-licking earnestness is in itself a considerable artistic achievement. So we're a little wary about MGM's self-consciously schlocky "VIP edition" DVD, available tomorrow, which includes a set of souvenir pasties and a new audio commentary titled "The Greatest Movie Ever Made." Lines like "I'm erect, why aren't you?" and "It must be weird not having people come on you!" don't need extended commentary.
