One thing we enjoy about pornography is that it's one of the few things left in life that you don't really have to think about too much; we love Belladonna and we love Gore Vidal, but do we really need them sharing the pages of the same book? We'll have to wait until September to see whether the combination of high literary art and down-and-dirty smut is wholly successful in photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders' collection of thirty straight and gay porn star diptychs (which will also be the subject of an HBO film and a gallery exhibition in New York), but one thing's certain: it's bound to be the coffee table book and publishing event of the year for discriminating porn connoiseurs everywhere.
